Dunkeld Community Centre Entrance Sideboard

Magnificently innovative, harmonious and effective – much like Dunkeld itself. The Red Gum is extraordinarily figured with much interlocking grain (“fiddle back”).

Blackwood DCC Sideboard

A familiar piece in Blackwood rather than Red Gum. Although the foot print and shape is similar to the original piece, the appearance is quite different. Differently-featured timber creates a different visual ‘texture”.

Entertaining Sideboard

This Blackwood cabinet was commissioned to meet the client’s audio-visual needs. It combines traditional motifs with a little bit of contemporary “deco” curviness.

Stand-Out

An entertainment unit in Red Gum and fiddle-back Tasmanian Oak. The raised panels in the doors are very raised indeed, really adding to the visual “texture” of a piece that already has a lot happening by dint of its colouring.

Swoop 1

A real sense of movement created by the long and short curves – the viewer’s eyes might tend to run the length of the major arc in particular, finding a soothing satisfaction in the long bend. Elegant, hall tables, ideal to showcase some fascinating bib or bob from here or there. Woohlpooer Red Gum with Tasmanian Oak edge inlay and legs

Swoop 2

A variation on a theme. This is the familiar “Swoop” curved side table, slightly lower, with  fiddle back red gum angled rail.

Tabular Curves

Check out the curves! This blackwood side table is visually supple, sinuous, sensual, wavy wonderful. It is a tabular version of the Dunkeld Community Centre sideboard.

Myrtle Tallboys

A pair of tallboys that add beauty and function to a bedroom or living area. Craftsmanship and attention to detail are exemplified in the dovetailing.

Tall boy – ‘The Chalice’

A surging upward flow of contrasting fine-grained Tasmanian Oak and Red Gum. Reminiscent of a chalice, a holy vessel, an object of homage.

Bedroom Dresser

A magnificent piece of bedroom furniture. 12 drawer dresser is stunning in Walnut. The design and construction maximise the beauty of the varied shades in the grain of the timber. Attention to fine craftsmanship includes dovetailing.

Large Blackwood Sideboard

A commissioned piece of our sideboard design; longer, with central drawers and inner shelving (unseen in photo). Beautiful and functional.

Stately sideboard

A slightly smaller scale version of our ‘signature’ sideboard, made to fit the space requirements of our client.

The design detail accentuates tones and features of the timber – in this case, Blackwood.

Commissions such as these are our specialty.

Fantastic Fiddleback

Our signature sideboard design in this redgum timber is stunning. Beautiful combination of form and function, with 3 drawers and shelving in the cabinet. Another example of Timber as  Art.

Norfolk Pine Cabinet

Designed by our client, this cabinet is solid, with open shelving either side of the two deep drawers. This unusual timber, supplied by the client, has some interesting burl feature. The commission included a table top which the cabinet complements.

Drinks Cabinet

Tasmanian Blackheart Sassafras doors and drawer fronts are a stunning feature of this drinks cabinet. This commission was co-designed with our clients and exemplifies the exciting possibilities of bespoke furniture.

‘Swoop’ Side Table

Our signature side table design displays timeless elegance in Blackwood and Mountain Ash.

Distinctive Entertainment Unit

We created this design to suit the aesthetic and functional desires of our client. The line of the Vic Ash legs flows into the cabinet, breaking up the ‘squareness’ with the irregularly shaped doors.

A classy piece combining form and function.

Occasional/Side Table

A variation on our “Going Forward’ design – lower and with a shelf. In high feature Vic Ash and Yellow Stringybark, it is attractive and functional.

Chalice

This commissioned piece is an enlarged version of our ‘chalice’ tall boy design.

A beautiful combination of Blackwood in the drawer fronts and side panels, with a Mountain Ash cabinet.

This piece will house the client’s coin collection. Each dovetailed drawer can house 2 layers of coins, with easy lift-out dividers.

Curved Hall/Side Table

This piece was was produced in collaboration with our clients, designed to fit and suit a precise position in their home. The timber is Mountain Ash

Hall/Side Table

A commissioned piece designed to our clients’ requirements and choices. The rectangular top is softened by the curved edges. Tapered legs enhance the elegance of the piece. Beautiful in Mountain Ash.

Swoop

We named this side/hall table design “Swoop”. The eye is invited to swoop along the length of the curves in the top. This commissioned piece, in highly-figured, fiddleback Yellow Stringybark, is a smaller version of the original, but proportion is maintained.

Tres Elegant!
