Red Gum Reader

A pair of book cases in heavily-fiddlebacked red gum with vic ash inlay. The head pieces are stylised representations of our local mountains.

External Door

Our design using Victorian Stringybark and Redgum creates a very distinctive front door. Photographed in the workshop – not installed.

External Doors

Oregon double doors create an impressive entrance (to an unfinished house).

Honour Board

This impressive board, made from Jarrah, was a commissioned piece. A traditional style with our design features and detail.

Lazy Susans

One large lazy susan in reclaimed Blackwood to service the table named “reclaimed” in our tables section.

Two smaller lazy susans in Blackwood. A very practical component of dining experiences.

Display Case

This piece was a special commission to design and create a display case for some significant pieces of Gunditjmara aboriginal art.

The case is made from Vic Ash, with some Blackwood inlay. The inlay subtly complements the display items which are made from Blackwood.

Cornered

A very unusual corner cabinet. The commissioning client supplied the doors, which have sentimental significance, and slab blackwood for the sidelites. The piece is huge – quite imposing.

Empire State

“Empire State” – a very Deco style sculptural hat/coat rack in recycled jarrah with subtle decorative Tas Oak inlay.

Random

“Random”, a sculptural hat/coat stand, in fiddle back Tas Oak and Red Gum.

Bijouterie

A commissioned piece for the display of some special silverware. Made from Blackwood with decorative inlay. The design, with delicate leg shape, creates a beautiful piece in itself.

Crystal Dreaming 1

A really special combination of recycled Jarrah, glass mirror, curve and straight line.

Crystal Dreaming 2

The same cabinet as ‘Crystal Dreaming 1’ with tweaked door decorative feature.

Library

A large library installation . The doors are Tas Oak, Red Gum and glass. The honey/red contrasts are interesting and lend the whole wall a kind of vertical “movement”.

Art Desko

Art Desko. Aesthetics and practicality. An absolutely unique and functional desk in red gum and high-feature messmate. The opposing leaves and cabinet top provide three levels of usable surface, making the desk effectively huge given its small footprint.

Funerary Urn

Timber of significance to our client has been created into a lasting memorial.

Floating Hall Shelf

This curvy piece of blackbutt was installed by others as a floating hall shelf. Doesn’t take up as much room a table but creates maximum effect.

Floating Mantle

Sometimes it doesn’t take much to lift a part of the home that is feeling a bit bare. This one and a half wrap-around floating mantle does the job

Mirror Mirror

Twin mirrors in Cypress make a stunning bathroom feature.

Japanese Bath Cover

A spotted gum, galvanised steel, hinged duckboard to cover a deep Japanese-style concrete bath.

Fireplace Insert

A blackwood addition to an old fireplace. The timber is sympathetic to the brickwork and flooring.

Postcards

Our gallery was featured on the TV travel program “Postcards” in June 2019. Within a feature on Dunkeld’s tourist attractions, presenter Lauren Phillips interviewed Gerard in the showroom and some footage was taken of Gerard using the surfacing machine on a walnut slab.

Shoe/Boot Rack

An original design in Mahogany, Fiddleback Redgum and Aluminium.

Very attractive and highly functional.

On castors for easy moving.

Boot Rack

Solid base of reclaimed Redgum; spindles in Vic Ash.

Finished in oil for under the verandah.

A classy, functional commissioned piece.
