Stringy Bed

Reclaimed Stringybark (old wall studs) and simple design, highlighting the timber, combine to make this an unusual complement to the sleeping experience. Distinctive gum veining can really make a piece. The timber started as a seedling in the Grampians, enjoyed a post-tree life as the wall studs of a house and is now a piece of fine furniture. Versatile! Eco-friendly – all that carbon locked up in heirloom furniture!

Blackwood Tradition

A commissioned bedroom set in a traditional style with some quirky additions, designed in conjunction with the clients to harmonise with some of their existing heirloom furniture.

Tall Boy “The Chalice”

A surging upward flow of contrasting slow-grown, fine-grained Tasmanian Oak and local (Woohlpooer State Forest) Red Gum. Reminiscent of a chalice, a holy vessel, an object of homage.

Bedside Tables “Mantis”

Woohlpooer Red Gum. No one else has anything like these. Absolutely unique. Very functional – more flat surface area for clocks, phones, watches, books, glasses, hand cream than most conventional designs. A sense of “pounce” gives the object an imaginary visual movement.

Walnut Bedroom Suite

This bed and bedside tables are modelled on our tallboy “Chalice” design. The colours and burl feature in the Walnut timber are spectacular. Our client provided the timber and the design was the result of a very successful consultative process.
